Marcin Guady, 21, of New Haven, is charged by indictment along with three others with conspiracy to possess 1.8 grams or more of heroin and, three others, with conspiracy to possess 1.8 grams or more of heroin. Guady and two others face felony drug distribution charges. Three other defendants are charged with possession of the heroin as well as possessing paraphernalia for making or importing it.

Assistant Acting U.S. Attorney Richard R. Pfeifer and Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael B. Wertz prosecuted the case with assistance from Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys Michael M. Rolence and Patrick Sullivan, Department of Justice Criminal Division Trial Counsel Joseph L. Giordano and Deputy Assistant Attorney General Kenneth F. Blanco.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Joint Division and supported by the DEA’s Northeast Region, the FBI, the Connecticut Joint Terrorism Task Force, the New Haven Police Department, the New Haven Community Crime Unit, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Connecticut Counterterrorism Section (CTSEC). The investigative team include DEA, New Haven Police Department, CTSEC, CTCSI, New Haven Community Crime Unit, New Haven Police Bureau, Conn. State Police, the Rockville Police Department, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
